Tom is passionate in his treatment of musculoskeletal conditions specifically, reinforced by his continued study in the area culminating in the completion of his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through LaTrobe at the end of 2009.
Other areas of interest for Tom are injury management, pain management, acute orthopaedics, and cardiac rehabilitation. His affinity for musculoskeletal conditions encourages Tom to continually improve his knowledge of current best practice techniques which in turn allows for high quality treatment for all presenting patients.
Tom was awarded an Australian Rural and Remote Health Professional Postgraduate Scholarship in 2006 to further his postgraduate specialisation into Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is also a Queensland Academy of Sport accredited provider.
He is chairperson of the Australian Physiotherapy Association for the Mackay Region and enjoys this role greatly as it aids in the ability to promote Physiotherapy as primary care practitioners for musculoskeletal presentations.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (LaTrobe) and a Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (LaTrobe), and is an accredited Member APA and MPA.
